Jinan Laetitia Persembahkan EP Perdana, The Pendulum Lengkap Dengan Film Short

JAKARTA - Young singer and songwriter from Bogor, Jinan Laetitia was finally able to share a new mini album entitled The Pendulum. This is his first EP which contains five tracks, all written with English lyrics.

This album contains four songs that have been released first and one new song titled Visions (from under the bubble) which was released on all digital streaming platforms on Friday, October 11.

This album contains five songs that tell stories about loss of love and learning from that story. Life is a pendulum that keeps swinging. Life consists of good and bad times. Our capacity to be sad is the same as our capacity to like and love," said Jinan in a press release he wrote, Monday, October 14.

The Pendulum was written by Jinan, who also acted as a producer along with Osvaldori. Previously, Jinan leaked that on his latest album he would produce more upbeat songs and more cheerful vibe vibes. For example, in the song Renaissance Man Jinan made a song genre house music which became Jinan's first time to explore making house music.

Four upbeat songs on this album that represent the phase of life and then closed by one slow tempo song, namely Visions (from under the bubble) which is the focus track on the album. In this song, Jinan invites people to share their dreams with each other. Uniquely, the opening musician for the Coldplay concert in Singapore also slipped a speech from Rashida Tlaib who voiced humanitarian issues.

In this song I also share my feelings as a musician. I want to make music that heals. To prove that you can make art that inspires goodness," he said in a short video uploaded on his personal Instagram.

A small surprise was also prepared by Jinan on this album. Not only in the form of music video, but Jinan also issued The Pendulum Short Movie' which aired on his YouTube channel. This film was made by VSLZM with director Dorothy Keiza and creative supervisor Michael Budihardjo.

With a duration of almost 12 minutes, this short movie is a visualization of the new interpretation of each song by Jinan represented by two characters, namely a woman and a black cat in several love phases.

Jinan also tells the outline of the short film 'The Pendulum'. In the song 'Objects of Affection' and 'Renaissance Man' the woman meets a black cat and falls in love so deeply that she wants to turn the cat into a human being,

Both the film 'The Pendulum' and also the focus track 'Visions' received positive responses from various parties. One of them is a musician such as Javanese from MALIQ & D Essentials, rapper Willy Winarko and also soloist Prince Husein. Jinan's latest short film can be watched on Jinan Laetitia's YouTube channel.
