SBY Opens Appearance At Partypora 2024 With Jamrud And Type-X Songs

JAKARTA - Although not as a professional musician, the presence of the sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) is the most anticipated event on the first day of the 2024 Party which will be held at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta on Friday, September 20 evening.

SBY went on stage at around 20.30 WIB. He appeared accompanied by a band and orchestra led by Tohpati as music director.

Appearing in casual clothes, SBY performed the song Pelangi Dihitung' from Jamrud. Thousands of spectators who packed the main stage also sang, from start to finish the song.

"Good night Jakarta. Good night Partypora," said SBY after bringing the opening repertoar.

"Do you still remember me, do you?" said SBY again, greeted by the screams of the audience.

The sixth President of the Republic of Indonesia also expressed his gratitude to the organizers, who have succeeded in holding a big music festival and gave him the opportunity to appear.

"Hopefully the Pestpora can continue in the following years," said SBY.

After performing the song Jamrud, SBY changed the atmosphere of the stage by performing the song 'You're Not Alone' from Type-X.

Spectators who were seen enjoying SBY's rare moments on the music festival stage also sang and swayed to the rhythm of the song.

In addition to SBY, the first day of the 2024 Pestopora presented groups and well-known Indonesian singers, such as Tulus, Maliq & D'Escentials, Padi Reborn, Slank, Hindia, Andien, Ari Lasso, NTRL, The Jansen, Seringai, Last Child, Boomerang, Pee Wee Gaskins, D'Masiv, and many more.

The 2024 Party will also continue by presenting other musicians until Sunday, September 22.
