JAKARTA - 'On stage and releasing a new song is not enough.' It seems that's what musicians today have to face, in an all-digital era.

Vionita Sihombing, one of the Indonesian singers from among Gen Z, sees herself as a public figure and needs another channel to introduce herself to music lovers.

For the 25-year-old singer, social media with its various content is something important for a singer.

"In me, it is very important (active on social media)," said Vionita while visiting the VOI office in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta some time ago.

Vionita, who graduated from The Voice Indonesia, felt that talent search events could not constantly encourage her to be better known as a music connoisseur, without the help of social media roles.

"Because I'm from a talent event, the meaning isn't that viral, isn't that hype like that," he said.

"So in my opinion, how do I survive, to introduce me to people, yes, I made content like that. So I don't want to be like I suddenly disappeared," he added.

When performing activities are reduced and have not released songs, said Vionita, the most effective way to stay in touch with listeners is to be active on social media.

"With me not doing anything, so I think the easiest way is, I'll pay attention," he said.
