JAKARTA - The album "Badai Pasti Berlalu" which was named the best Indonesian album by Rolling Stone Indonesia magazine in 2007, was re-released in the form of a vinyl by the record label Mastersound and Elevation Records.

PHR Pressing co-founder representing Elevation Records, Taufiq Rahman explained the reason behind the re-release of "Bada Pasti Berlalu" because the album's physical release is currently difficult to find. The album, which was first released in 1977, said Taufiq, was also never designed to release in the form of a disk.

"This is an album that is already monumental but the same as most albums in Indonesia, physical artifacts from that year are uncertain," Taufiq said in a speech session in Central Jakarta, as reported by Antara on Sunday.

"In a visual way, this album was never designed to be released as a disc format because it was originally only released in cassette format and there was never a vinyl format since 1977 and a vinyl in circulation whose price was almost hundreds of millions, it might be a copy of the radio which is only printed in very limited quantities," he added.

Taufiq admitted that the re-issuance process for this album was carried out from scratch where the label first searched for the 1977 version of audio recording with the best quality.

In producing recording songs with better quality, Taufiq explained that his party collaborated with studios from the United States and Europe.

"So audioually, and if friends can listen now that's more than worth it, I think it's the result of the hard work of the world's major studios," he said.

The album "Badai Pasti Berlalu" was released in 1977 which contains film theme songs with the same title directed by Teguh Karya and stars Christine Hakim, Roy Marten, and Slamet Rahadjo.

Eros Djarot as a music director, invited several singers and musicians in the production process of this album, including Chrisye, Berlian Hutauruk, Yockie Suryo Prayogo, Keenan Nasution, Debby Nasution, and Fariz RM.

The album black plate "Badai Pasti Berlalu" is available in two color variants, namely green which sells for IDR 595 thousand and black which sells for IDR 495 thousand.
