Titi DJ Reveals Initial Conflict In 3 Divas, Anang Had Wanted To Find A Replacement

JAKARTA - Titi Dwi Jayati, known as Titi DJ, revealed the conflict she faced when she first joined the 3 Divas.

Meanwhile, 3 Divas are music projects for Kris Dayanti, Ruth Sahanaya, and Titi DJ which were formed in 2006.

Under Erwin Gutawa as a music arranger and Jay Subiyakto as an artistic arranger, 3 Diva started their project with major concerts in four cities, namely Jakarta, Surabaya, Bandung, and Denpasar.

Even though it is one of the historical music projects in the modern Indonesian music industry, 3 Divas are inseparable from the conflict. Titi DJ admitted that there was a mismatch at the beginning of the formation of this trio.

The 58-year-old singer feels privileged for Kris Dayanti. Although he has agreed that the mention of names is based on alphabet sequence, Kris Dayanti is in the middle of a cover photo.

"KD at that time was still the same as Anang, at KD Production. Is it because there is KD Production there, so Kris Dayanti is in the middle?" said Titi DJ when she was a guest on the recent Ferdy ELEMENT podcast.

Feeling that something was not in accordance with the initial agreement, Titi gave an ultimatum so that the position in the photo was changed.

"It's not like that, I'm not (joining the 3 Divas). From the start it was like that," said Titi.

Stephanie Poetri's mother said that Anang Hermansyah, who was involved at that time, had tried to contact Rossa to replace her position.

"You know what? Anang was looking for a replacement, contacting Rossa," he said.

"Rossa was contacted, submitted to Erwin and Jay, fortunately Erwin and Jay did not agree, because Rossa had not yet had a concert (single)," he continued.

Reflecting on what happened, Titi is grateful that the conflict occurred at the beginning. Until now, 3 Diva personnel still support each other. They also made a comeback to this year's music stage.

"Untung konflik itu ada di awal, jadi mereka belajar," tandas Titi DJ.
