The Collective Work Of Lomba Sihir In Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia

JAKARTA - After releasing the Hati dan Paru-Paru at the end of last February, the Lomba Sihir is ready to greet music listeners with the first album titled Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia.

As previously reported, Lomba Sihir was originally a band for Hindia soloist or Baskara Putra. This time, the Magic Contest was not a companion but the main character.

The twelve tracks included in the album were the result of collaboration between Baskara Putra (vocals), Natasha Udu (vocals), Rayhan Noor (guitar, vocals), Wisnu Ikhsantama (bass, vocals), Tristan Juliano (keyboards, vocals), and Enrico Octaviano (drum).

The song is centered on the story of life in the middle of Jakarta, from work to adult romance. The choice of the story of the city of Jakarta was chosen because the six of them grew up in the capital and experienced joy and sorrow.

The six members have worked on the album but they do not want to try to unify their identity in this album. "We made a band and never thought of uniting six heads", said Rayhan during a press conference today, March 25.

Outside of the Lomba Sihir, each of the personnel had other projects ranging from Vutura Spells, Martials, to Feast. However, with the Magic Race, they only bring out a new side that remains fun.

This new side is evidenced by the involvement of several members as vocalists. Tristan and Tama, for example, filled the song Cameo. Apart from that, collective work also involves Mohammed Kamga (Hondo), Matter Mos, Petra Sihombing, and Kusuma Widhiana.

With the dominant pop genre, the album Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia becomes a work with various colors and perspectives. Listening from the beginning to the end of the album will lead the listener to a portrait of Jakarta expressed by these young musicians.

The music video for Hati dan Paru-Paru and Apa Ada Asmara has been released, while the album Selamat Datang di Ujung Dunia from Lomba Sihir will be released on March 26th.
