Three Personnel Of The Nelons Died As A Result Of An Airplane Accident

JAKARTA - The United States GOspel music group, The Nelons had to lose three personnel due to a plane crash on Friday, July 26 afternoon local time. The three personnel who died were Jason Clark (father), Kelly Nelon Clark (wife), and Amber Nelon Kistler (child).

The death of the three personnel was confirmed by the Gaither Management Group through a statement uploaded by the Instagram account Autumn Nelon Streetman (child), the only remaining personnel.

One of the most beloved Gospel music family in America, The Nelons was involved in a tragic and fatal plane crash on Friday afternoon as they were on their way to following Gaither Homecoming Cruise to Alaska, the Gaither Management Group said in a statement.

The ones who died in the crash were Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, Amber and Nathan Kistler and their assistant, Melodi Hodges along with the pilot, Larry Haynie and his wife, Melissa.

Meanwhile, Autumn Nelon Streetman boarded another plane, arrived safely in Seattle and was notified of the crash.

"As you've heard a lot, my father and mother, Jason and Kelly Nelon Clark, along with my sister-in-law, Amber and my sister-in-law, Nathan, and our friends Melodi Hodges, Larry, and Melissa Haynie were involved in a tragic plane crash on Friday," Autun said.

"Thank you for the prayers that have been offered to me, my husband, Jamie, and our soon-to-be baby boy, as well as Jason's parents, and Linda Clark. We appreciate your continuous prayers, love, and support as we live in the days to come."

For information, The Nelons was founded in the 1970s by Rex Nelon, the father of Kelly Nelon Clark.

They have been nominated for three Grammy awards and were sworn in to the Gospel Music Association Hall of Fame in 2016.

The group's biggest hits include I Shall Not Be Moved, Come Morning, and 'We Share Wear a Robe and Crown'.
