JAKARTA - The much-awaited album from Cigarettes After Sex finally rolled out on Friday last week. Titled X's, the band from the United States also released a slow dance song of the same name. This song is inspired by the story of their frontman, Greg Gonzalez.

This single has dimensions that accommodate the vocalist's memories. The combination of romantic, dreamy and sensual lyrics is still a characteristic that is maintained when working on X's.

The story of this song is set at the house where I lived first which is close to Hollywood Hills where this album was recorded and where the romantic story in this song happened. I returned to see the rooms at the house when I heard this song," Greg said in a written broadcast received by VOI.

Playing in the realm of love songs with an erotic touch is something interesting for Cigarettes After Sex. Greg said the source of the title inspiration came from Marilyn Monroe.

The quality of this relationship and also the joys and sorrows of that time was summarized in this song. Usually for me my songs I love so much are romantic songs, but with a little erotic elements too. It can be a little fun, but it still feels sweet when you listen to it. The title of this song was taken from Marilyn Monroe's photos taken in 1962 for Vogue Magazine by Bert Stern," Greg continued.

The day before the release of the album, Cigarettes After Sex held a listening party globally, including in Indonesia which is located on Audio Nirvana, Jakarta. A number of Cigarettes After Sex music lovers who attended had the opportunity to listen to the album X's before it was officially released through the extraordinary sound system audio state-of-the-art.

Through the album X's, Cigarette's After Sex is not only known as an indie band, but as one of the most successful music units in all genres globally that helps define what success means as a musician in the modern era.
