DJ Hardwell Admits He Hasn't Been Paid To Appear At The SAGA Festival

JAKARTA - DJ Hardwell expressed his frustration on stage when he appeared at the SAGA Festival last weekend. Disjoki and the Dutch music producer admitted that they had not been paid to attend the event.

In a fan video circulating on social media, Hardwell is seen stopping his performance while music is still being played. Seeing the shocked audience, he also explained the organizer's bad treatment for him.

"Let me be honest. This festival doesn't pay me any money to be here tonight," Hardwell said.

"And the equipment, everything is very bad. Nobody is working (good)," he continued.

Responding to what happened, SAGA issued a statement. They apologized for what happened, but regretted the 36-year-old disjoki decision for stopping the show early.

We have worked hard to build this year's SAGA for artists and divers. We will solve the technical issues easily and quickly, if you allow us and don't stop your show so quickly. We have done everything we can to accommodate your requests, including agreed payments."

"We apologize to your fans. They will eventually be happy to see you appear in Bukares. Just love, and we hope you are okay."

On the other hand, Nicki Minaj also canceled her appearance at the SAGA Festival. Security issues are considerations that ask that they are canceled to attend.

"Out of concern for the safety of our team and myself, I have been advised by my security officers not to travel to the Romanian festival tonight due to security concerns in connection with protests in the area," wrote Nicki Minaj on X.
