JAKARTA - Melbourne-based band Hiatus Kaiyote announced their latest album, Mood Valiant. This album is a continuation of the Choose Your Weapon which was released in 2015.
The band, which won two Grammy Awards nominations, took six years to complete the album Mood Valiant. The reason is, the group's vocalist, Nai was diagnosed with breast cancer.
In the midst of her struggles, Nai still took the time to write the lyrics for this album. After recovering, Hiatus Kaiyote continued the process of making Mood Valiant and went on tour.
“The title of the album literally encapsulates the entire spectrum on our journey. All of them have been through many great challenges. I feel we are really struggling to finish this album," said Paul Bender the bassist, as quoted from the press that VOI received.
