JAKARTA - It is stated that love can be done in various ways, from the usual to the'merging' one. This was done by Rayi Putra in his latest single entitled 'Casper'.

This single was released by Rayi under the auspices of the well-known hip-hop music label, Def Jam Southeast Asia. Here she collaborates with a talented female singer who is on the rise, Amarangani Aysha, or known as Noni.

Rayi, who is also a member of the RAN music group, explained that the single 'Casper' is indeed a love song that is quite straight forward, where feelings of love are immediately expressed without further ado. The song is presented by presenting the nuances of hip-hop and RnB music colors.

The uniqueness of this song is in the lyrics that include elements of horror, so this song becomes an unusual thing for a song with the theme of love.

"This is actually a love song that is quite straight forward, a feeling that is expressed directly. However, what makes it unique is that I include references from things related to horror films," said Rayi in a written broadcast received by VOI.

To strengthen the theme of the song, Rayi embeds Hollywood horror film titles in the lyrics of the song 'Casper'. Some of them are Focus Focus, The Whole Truth, The Ring, nightbumps, to Trick r' Treat.

"So, when I make the lyrics, I google the title collection of the famous Hollywood horror film to be included in the lyrics of the song," said Rayi.

Meanwhile, for Noni, this collaboration is both interesting and challenging, because the process is fun and fast. However, he admitted that he was helped by the many inputs and directions from both Rayi and Abe, because for him this collaboration became his first for such a genre. Fun fact, Noni wrote the lyrics in part only a day before the recording session took place.

"To be honest, Sis Rayi explained that this song demo might be a month before the collaboration took place. But I have a lot of trouble writing in POV like this, so... I'm grateful I have a deadline," Noni said.

The combination of Rayi's qualified vocal quality in processing words in a rapping shear with a strong Noni vocal character makes this song very comfortable to enjoy.

"Initially this song was already a demo. Then I took this song to Abe (producer) for a re-ransement. Then Abe was given an afrobeat touch. I think the results are really cool," said Rayi about the arrangement of the song.
