Astrid Introduces New Single 'Please' As Sequel From Mendua

JAKARTA - Astrid introduced a new single titled 'Please'. This song is her first release in 2024, as well as a sign of her consistency which has continued to work for 21 years.

The 42-year-old singer told how 'Please' was finally chosen as a new single. This song was written by Zack The Jackman, then Astrid herself was involved in several changes in the song.

"I feel that if I sing, I have to relate to the song. When I got this song from Zack, I finally changed the lyrics, so I could relate to me," Astrid said in a virtual press conference, Thursday, June 27.

Zack himself doesn't mind what happened. Instead, he considered his song to be more perfect thanks to Astrid.

"The song is actually a complete thanks to Astrid," said Zack.

Astrid said that her new single this time also has a story that matches Mendua, a single that was released in 2011 but has gone viral on social media recently.

"You could say that 'please' is a sequel to my single 'Mendua'," Astrid said.

Adrian Martadinata, who acts as producer, said he was satisfied with Astrid's latest work. He said the production process went smoothly, considering that cooperation with Astrid had happened before.

In my opinion, this song fits Astrid very well. This is a song that selects the singer, "said Adrian.

Along with the release of her new single on various digital streaming services, Astrid also launched a Please music video that can be watched via YouTube.
