Donne Maula Has His Own Considerations When Asked To Write Songs For Other Singers

JAKARTA - As a songwriter who was quite successful through 'Love Via Kata', Donne Maula admitted that he had been asked to write songs several times to be performed by other singers.

Based on his experience, Donne saw a problem where a singer does not really know what kind of song he needs.

"Most of what I meet is that the singer sometimes doesn't know what she really needs. What she wants, she told me, but what she needs now, she doesn't know," said Donne Maula in Thamrin, Central Jakarta some time ago.

Therefore, Yura Yunita's husband chose to meet the singer directly before writing the song.

"I need to meet the person first. Not picky, but I can't write songs for other people, keep making up about something like that," said Donne.

"Because in my opinion, the song with the singer is like Harry Potter and my heart. The song chooses the singer and the singer will choose the song. It must be related, because it is impossible to separate," he continued.

So far, Donne feels quite successful in that way. After speaking directly with the singer, he will secretly write songs based on the anxiety he hears from the singer.

"So, I made the song secretly. And when given to the singer, he will usually say 'Yes again, this is what I need the most now'," he concluded.
