Taylor Swift Makes History As The First Female Singer To Win Album Of The Year

JAKARTA - Taylor Swift made history as the first female singer to win the Album of the Year category at the Grammy Awards three times.

On Sunday, March 14th, Swift's Folklore album beat HAIM, Dua Lipa, Coldplay, Post Malone, Jhene Aiko, Black Pumas, Jacob Collier.

Taylor Swift took the stage with producers Jack Antonoff and Aaron Dessner. Through her short speech, Swift thanked all the collaborators who filled the Folklore album.

"I want to thank Justin Vernon, I'm excited to meet you one day".

She also mentioned her lover's name, actor Joe Alwyn in her speech. "Joe was the first to hear all the songs I wrote and I had the best time writing with you during the quarantine". Joe Alwyn co-wrote the lyrics of the Folklore album under the pseudonym William Bowery.

Swift also grateful to fans who continue to play the songs she wrote. This category is the only award won by Swift.

In this year's event, Beyonce became the musician who won the most nominations, namely four out of nine nominations.

Followed by Megan Thee Stallion with three wins and Billie Eilish with two.
