Sad News, Iwan Xaverius Ex Bassis Edane Dies

JAKARTA - Sad news enveloped Indonesia's music scene, Iwan Xaverius, who was known as the bassist Edane in the 1991-2005 period, died.

The news was confirmed through the Instagram upload of Shadu Rasjidi, the bassist of Deadsquad. Through his account, he reveals the memories experienced with the deceased.

"Iwan Xaverius, uncle is very humorous and very kind to me. I will really miss chatting, drinking coffee, and smoking with Om Iwan," wrote Shadu Rasjidi in the caption of the upload on Wednesday, June 5.

"Goodbye Om Iwan Xaverius," he continued.

Shadu's upload was liked by several well-known Indonesian musicians, such as Karis (guitarist Deadsquad) and Andy (vocalist rif).

In addition, two music observers, Adib Hidayat and Stanley Tulung also shared the news of Iwan Xaverius' death.

"Sad news Iwan Xaverius former bass player Edane, Wild Jet and Blackout died of illness," Adib Hidayat wrote via upload X.

So far, it is not known the cause or illness suffered by the bassist until he breathed his last.

Previously, Andre Taulany through an Instagram Story upload asked for prayers for Iwan Xaverius' recovery.

"Please pray for Bang Iwan's recovery," wrote Andre Taulany.
