Coldplay revealed their success in efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the 'Music of the Spheres' tour which lasted for two years around the world.

As is known, reducing carbon emissions is one of the points from the Music of the Spheres' tour which is often referred to as an environmentally friendly tour concert. The tour began in March 2022 and ended in February 2024, with a total of more than nine million tickets sold.

In a statement posted on the official social media account, the Music of the Spheres tour is said to have succeeded in reducing carbon emissions by 59 percent compared to Coldplay stadium tours throughout 2016 and 2017.

When we first announced the Tur Music Of The Spheres in 2021, we pledged to reduce our direct carbon emissions (from performance production, transport, band travel and crew) by at least 50%. We are pleased to report that the CO2e emissions directly from the first two years of this tour are reduced by 59% compared to our previous stadium tour (2016-17), based on performance-by-show comparisons," Coldplay said in a statement, Monday, June 3.

These numbers have been verified by the MIT Environmental Solutions Initiative. We would like to express our deepest gratitude to our family of extraordinary tours and to all the brilliant people who have made this happen."

Chris Martin cs also thanked the entire audience for what they did throughout the concert. Coldplay revealed that this tour also managed to plant seven million trees in various countries they visited.

Most importantly, we would like to thank everyone who came to the show and helped charge the battery of the show on power bikes and kinetic dance floors; everyone who comes on foot, cycling, ride-sharing, or public transport; everyone who comes is carrying refilled water bottles or returning the LED bracelet to be recycled; and everyone who buys tickets, meaning you've planted one in seven million trees so far.

"As a band, and as an industry, we are still far from what we need in this regard. But we are grateful for the help of everyone so far, and we salute everyone who tries to push everything in the right direction."
