The Jansen comes with a physical album 'Banal Getting More Binal' (Ivan Two Men/VOI)

JAKARTA - The more Binal 'Banal' became the monumental album for the punk-rock band from Bogor, The Jansen. Surprisingly, the physical release of the album was first launched abroad rather than domestically.

Initially, 'Banal Makin Binal' was released in Singapore as much as 300 copies for the international market. Apparently, the album actually sold well on the market.

"Initially we knew that one of the personnel from the Singaporean band when they toured Indonesia. We played in Bandung. We met, chatted and met again in Singapore, until finally we were released an album and wanted to work together," said Bani (vocals, guitars) when met in Blok M, South Jakarta recently.

After that, then The Jansen teamed up with the demajors music label to release and market physical albums in vinyl form for the country. The album 'Banal The More Binal' is available in a thousand copies.

"What I know is that Singapore is to be traded abroad, while demajors are for domestic purposes," said Bani.

"Indeed, demajors cannot sell outside even though they have relations. The opposite is true, Singapore cannot trade in Indonesia," he added.

Furthermore, Adji (bass) said that physical release was The Jansen's wish from the start to start a career in the music world. Since the first album, they have tried to communicate with many parties to release physical albums.

"From previous albums, I often approach outside labels for vinyl releases, only the sustenance is stuck on the third album," concluded Adji.
