As Far As The Two Worlds, Carlo Saba's Special Request For Kahitna Before He Died

JAKARTA - Kahitna has just released a single titled Sejak Dua Dunia. The song created by Yovie Widianto is a recycling of the songs that Arsy Widianto and Brisia Jodie have performed in 2020.

Yovie Widianto said the song 'As Far As Two Worlds' was a special request from Carlos Saba before he died. In fact, this song was recorded before the vocalist passed away to the Creator on April 19, 2023.

The song from the Two Worlds is his favorite of the late Carlo Saba. At that time he said it seemed fun if this song was performed in a different style," said Yovie Widianto during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta on Monday, April 22.

The release date for this new single also coincided with the year of Carlo Saba's death. Kahitna's personnel wanted this song to be presented in memory of it.

If in the previous version this song was performed with progressive music atmospheres and packaging with contemporary styles by Arsy and Jodie who were more affected by South Korean musical styles, then this new arrangement came with the presenting of more American music nuances in the 1980s, but still featured Kahitna's characteristics, both from chordal progression and vocal harmonization.

The release of this latest work is also an interesting happy touch during the manufacturing process. But when it was interpreted again, for Kahitna this song became a beautiful and meaningful memory of Carlo Saba.

"This song gives encouragement to Kahitna. Even though Carlo is no longer on our side, his enthusiasm for all of us, including myself, who are struggling until now almost 38 years together, Kahitna still exists," concluded Yovie Widianto.
