Endah N Rhesa In America, Make Albums With David Bowie To Voice Humanitarian Missions

JAKARTA - Endah N Rhesa and Navicula are involved in the Sound's Right project in the United States. Here, they make albums with musicians from various parts of the world.

Those who were accompanied by David Bowie x Brian Eno, Ellie Goulding, AURORA, Navicula x Endah N Rhesa, UMI with V from BTS, Anuv Jain, MEMBER, London Grammar, Bomba Estéo, Cosmo Sheldrake, Louis VI, Tom Walker, Aterciopelados, Blinky Bill, and Los Amigos Invisibles.

Sound's Right is a new global music initiative that presents NATURE (natural) as an artist and allows natural' to generate conservation funds from its own voice. Launched ahead of Earth Day, this initiative aims to trigger global conservation of natural value and support millions of music enthusiasts to take meaningful action to protect our planet.

The sounds of nature (animals, thunder, rivers, etc.) from all over the world contained in this compilation album were collected by soundscape artists from The Listening Planet and Voz Terra. So that the musical arrangements have natural voices that accompany the musical works in the style of Navicula and Endah N Rhesa entitled Segara Gunung.

Not The First Time

Endah N Rhesa's involvement in creating works for environmental sustainability campaigns is not the first time this has been done. Last October, an album containing a collection of excitement about nature was released by Alarm Records with the title Sonic/Panic.

Apart from Endah N Rhesa, 12 musicians/music groups such as FSTVLST, Guritan Kabudul, Iga Massardi & Badrus Zeman, Iksan Skutter, Kai Mata & Kashgari, Made Mawut, Navicula, Nova Filastine, Prabumi, Rhythm Rebel, Tony Q Rastafara, Tuan Tigabela contributed to this album.

They are members of the Music Declaration Emergency (MDE) Indonesia, an alliance as well as a forum for musicians, artists, and organizations committed to protecting life on earth. MDE Indonesia is part of MDE's global campaign with jargon No Music on a Dead Planet.

For Endah, this opportunity is a good step that musicians can take to voice and echo the musicians' concern for climate and environmental emergencys in the future.

Like what has been illustrated in Endah N Rhesa's song Plastic Tree on this album. Draw a treeless world, replaced by a plastic replica. It is a reminder for all of us about the impact of our actions on the environment.

"Because everything in nature is related to each other. Even though the imagination we carry in this song, the world is without trees, no birds are singing and chickens can happen later. Especially when everything is replaced with technology and other artificial things. Everything feels scary. We must always remember that there is a risk that occurs from our actions towards nature, "said Endah.

Brings Humanitarian Mission

With the spirit of humanity, not wanting to waste the opportunity in his direct visit to the release of Sound's Right, Endah will seek to deliver an emergency humanitarian message given the conditions in Gaza, Palestine and condemn the genocide that is still happening there.

I believe before improving nature, it must start with improving its human beings first. Because without humans who have goodness, it is impossible for nature to be fine. Endah said.

As quoted at the end of the song Plastic Tree, there is an apology delivered. A basic expression from humans who must be able to realize their actions when they have acted wrongly.

Hopefully Endah N Rhesa's good intentions can be smoothed out. Whatever can be done to voice goodness, we should pray and support together in the name of humanity and nature's sustainability.
