JAKARTA - Lee Ritenour's latest collaboration (guitar) and Dave Grusin (piano) are back on a new album titled BRASIL.

Through his Instagram account, Lee Ritenour called this album a marker of his collaboration with Dave Grusin, which has been running for five decades.

"BRASIL is the latest album in a 50-year collaboration between two true legends - Lee Ritenour & Dave Grusin," Lee Ritenour wrote in a caption on Saturday, April 13.

Ritenour and Grusin recorded the album with several Brazilian jazz musicians in Sao Paulo some time ago.

Meanwhile, the musicians involved were Ivan Linz, Tatiana Parra, Gregoire March, Celso Fonseca, Chico Pinheiro, Edu Ribeiro, Marcelo Costa, and Bruno Migotto.

BRAZIL will officially be released on May 31. Apart from being digital, this album also comes in the form of LP vinyl.

Previously, Lee Ritenour and Dave Grusin first released a reinterpretation of the work of composer Milton Nascimento entitled Cravo e Canela. This song is one of the materials contained in the BRASIL album.

For information, the collaboration with Dave Grusin began when Lee Ritenour was still the guitarist of the session for musicians and other singers.

Then, Ritenour debuted as a soloist in 1976 through the album First Course. Dave Grusin participated in filling in the piano, organs, and clavinet on this album.

The full collaboration between Ritenour and Grusin occurred through the album Harlequin in 1985. Then, they still released two other albums, Two Words in 2000 and Amparo in 2008.
