Anji Will Launch Samsara Album For Cross-generation Listeners

JAKARTA - Songwriter and singer, Anji plans to release a full album entitled Samsara. It is hoped that this album can be released in October.

Samsara will be an important project after the recent release of the New People's single. Anji stated that he wanted to be active as a singer rather than a YouTube content creator.

"I chose to focus more on music because it was music that made people know me a lot at the beginning," said Anji when met in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

Samsara will contain eight songs, of which four are new works, while the rest are rearrangements of Anji's songs that other singers have performed.

The former Drive vocalist is aware that the competition in the music world today is much different when compared to the beginning of his career around 2005. The number of songs released today is far more than at that time.

"For me now is how we give songs to our market. Our market is already listening to Anji. So, we refresh again. We give them songs," said Anji.

"It's also added how to give the song to a new generation," he added.

Anji realized that many ways must be done to attract listeners from younger generations, both in terms of content, song arrangements, and song lyrics.

"So, on the Samsara album there will be some song lyrics that are a bit different, but fresher, I think," concluded Anji.
