Anji Hopes To Be A Duet With Ustadz Derry Sulaiman If The Song Religi Releases

JAKARTA - Anji released a new single titled Orang Yang Berbeda ahead of the holy month of Ramadan. But unfortunately, the song is not a religious song devoted to accompanying Ramadan fasting.

The former Drive vocalist admitted that he was not ready if he had to issue a religious song this year. He felt there was a responsibility in itself when a singer decided to perform religious songs.

"If it's a religious song for me personally, I'm not. I'm not worthy yet. Maybe one day. But now I don't think so," said Anji when met in Kemang, South Jakarta last week.

However, Anji did not deny that he had thought about releasing a religious song. In fact, he has spoken to Ustadz Derry Sulaiman, who was previously known as a musician.

"Yesterday there was a conversation with Ustadz Derry Sulaiman. If I release a religious song, I want to be with him," said Anji.

For information, Ustadz Derry Sulaiman is known as one of the guitarists of the metal band, Betrayer. However, he chose to step down in 1998, and focused on religious activities to become a preacher.

Derry Sulaiman joined the band for two years and participated in giving birth to an album titled the Dead Dare Troops which was released in 1998.
