Aziz Hedra Releases 'LESSON' As EP Debut, Presents Various Phases Of Love And Relationship

JAKARTA - The journey of Aziz Hedra's career as a soloist is entering a new chapter. After releasing three singles, he has now launched his first EP titled Lesson.

The EP consists of five songs, including 'Somebody's Pleasure', 'No More You & I', and 'Issa Goodbye' which have already been introduced to listeners. Two new songs were released following the launch of the mini album.

All the songs in this EP have the same common thread, which is to tell when someone is experiencing love problems, such as heartbreak, confusion, or sadness. All of that will eventually be a lesson for those who experience it. Learn to be strong and steadfast when facing problems. That's why this EP uses the title Lesson. I want to remind people that we all have lessons in the journey of our respective lives. Later, this EP will be connected to my album and there will be a surprise there," said Aziz in a press release received by VOI (7/3/2024).

It took Aziz one year to complete this EP. The selection of continuous songs is a challenge for him and the label.

You could say, the five songs in Lesson have the same vibe and feeling, namely feelings of confusion or sadness, but with different love problems. I'm nervous, but also happy and impatient to release this EP to the public. These five songs are my choice with the Sony Music team which I dedicate to Indonesian music lovers, especially my fans. I hope you all can enjoy it," said Aziz.

One of the new songs on Lesson is entitled 'Devastated'. As the title implies, 'Devastated' is a song aimed at people who have not been able to give up or fail to move on.

"I wrote this song because I miss some friends who have now lost communication with me. We must have had close friends who, because they were busy or growing up, slowly moved away and finally lost contact at all. Even though we are not in touch, we must be secretly still expect him to be on our side and can speak as before," said the 23-year-old musician.

With the important lessons presented in 'Devastated', Aziz faced his own challenges when recording this song. I have to try to get all my emotions out through tones and lyrics. For me, doing that is not easy, but I try to give my best so that the meaning that is in Devastated can be conveyed to my music listeners.

One thing that Aziz Hedra wants to realize as soon as his EP is released is holding promos to various places to better introduce new songs in it, especially Devastated.

"I really want new songs in Lesson to be able to meet directly with listeners who feel they have the same story and may need a summary. Not only that, I also want to convey this message from EP that never keep the anger of every tragedy that we experience. No matter how heavy it is, there will always be lessons that can be taken. This lesson that we will bring in life and make us become more mature individuals and become the best version of ourselves, "he concluded.
