Kahitna Becomes BPJS Employment Participants, Yovie Widianto: Musicians Have The Right To Social Security

JAKARTA - Yovie Widianto, who serves as Chairman of the Federation of Indonesian Musician Unions (FESMI), continues to encourage the struggle of musicians and music workers to achieve their welfare.

Program yang sudah dimulai oleh Ketua FESMI sebelumnya, Candra Darusman, yaitu kerja sama dengan BPJS Ketenagakerjaan (BPJamsostek) terlanjut.

With this collaboration, more and more musicians and music workers will receive social security by becoming BPJS Ketenagakerjaan participants.

All workers, including musicians, are entitled to employment social security that will protect them while undergoing their professional activities. "FESMI is determined to make the implementation of a health culture and work safety successful for all music industry players in the country," said Yovie Widianto in a written statement, Monday, March 4.

Most recently, Kahitna personnel and all of their crew were participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Other FESMI members also received the same social security.

"My friends and I are in Kahitna, Yovie & Nuno, HiVi, and many more musicians from FESMI members and our friends who work in the music sector, from management to stage crews, are now officially participants and will receive social security facilities from BPJS Employment which will certainly provide protection as well as provide peace for us in living our profession," said Yovie.

By becoming a participant in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Yovie Widianto, a musician and music worker, received the protection of four social security programs, namely Work Accident Insurance, Death Security, Old Age Security, and Pension Security.
