JAKARTA - The Indonesian Music Promoter Association (APMI) also highlighted the news regarding Taylor Swift's six-day concert in Singapore which has been in the spotlight recently.

In an official Instagram post, APMI featured a statement by Thai Prime Minister Sretta Thavision which said the Singapore government played a major role in making Taylor Swift appear in Singapore and not in other Southeast Asian countries.

"On February 16, Sretta Thavision as the Prime Minister of Thailand stated that the Singaporean government had collaborated with AEG promoters not to hold concerts in Southeast Asia other than Singapore," APMI wrote in a statement in its upload, Thursday, February 22.

"This statement has received a lot of discussion because with this Singapore has made many benefits for their tourism economy with the Taylor Swift Eras Tour concert for 6 days," he continued.

Reflecting on how the Singapore Government supported the presence of a singer's concert as big as Taylor Swift, APMI also questioned the role of the Indonesian Government in supporting Indonesian music promoters in presenting major concerts.

"Approximately, when will the Indonesian government support the promoter industry like in Singapore?" he concluded.

For information, APMI is an association consisting of music promoters in Indonesia which is made with the aim of advancing the music performance ecosystem in the country, in order to improve the reputation, quality, and quantity of organizing concerts and music festivals in Indonesia.

Founded on October 28, 2020, with a spirit of youth, several APMI members include New Live Entertainment, Java Festival Production, Ravel Entertainment, Ismaya Live, Rajawali Indonesia, Dyandra Global Education, PK Entertainment Group, and many more.
