Rakhano Becomes More Acoustic In Single Friends First

JAKARTA - Faqih Rakhanoto alias Rakhano is back with his new single entitled Befriends First. This is the second song, in which the debut single entitled Teach Me to Let Go of It first was released in September 2023.

Different from the debut single that tells the story of someone who doesn't want to be separated, this song tells the story of friendships that are tucked in by the seeds of love.

"So, my second song is about friendship between girls and boys. Apparently, the guy secretly likes the girl, but doesn't dare to express his feelings for fear of damaging his relationship with his best friend," said Rakhano about his new song, in a written statement on Wednesday, February 21.

"All he can do is be sincere and think that maybe now is the time to make friends first. One day, the time will definitely come when he can express his feelings," he continued.

Differences with single debuts also exist in terms of instrumentation. Rakhano and Aldi, who are also producers, prioritize the use of acoustic instruments.

"I understand more about my type of story and what genre is more suitable. For example, my heart is more suitable for acoustic tones that are not crowded with musical instruments. That's the knowledge I got from the previous single and will try to be applied in my next works," said Rakhano.

Rakhano admitted that he fell in love when he first heard the song created by Aldi Nada Permana. With Gen Z's distinctive thoughts, he mentioned his new song this time Tiktok-able.

From the start, I've been able to vibe this song which I think is TikTok-able. It seems, I can imagine when this song was used in confused videos made by people. When singing it, I also don't need a lot of practice because I feel like it immediately and the tone is in accordance with the type of fire," said Rakhano.

By first liking the song, Rakhano underwent a recording in a relatively short time, and there were no significant obstacles faced.
