The East Indies Starts A Japanese Tour With A Performance In Osaka Today

JAKARTA - Baskara Putra alias Indies started a tour in Japan with the title Indies Live In Japan today, Tuesday, February 20. Of the three locations to be visited, the singer of Rumah Ke Rumah will start his performance in Fireloop, Osaka.

Next, the Indies will move to Tokyo. He will appear in Chikamichi on February 21 and in Adrift on February 26.

Even though he had already performed in Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan and Australia, the Indies still did not expect the opportunity to appear in Sakura Country. Especially with the intimate concept that was presented, he admitted that he was proud to be able to get appreciation in Japan.

"I didn't expect to be able to play in Japan. Suddenly there were three points, suddenly my friends who were Japanese wanted to watch it," said the East Indies in a statement, Tuesday, February 20.

"I'm happy to be given the opportunity to play there even though I don't have English songs, let alone Japanese," he continued.

In this tour, the Indies is still accompanied by Blue Valley Radio, a band that has accompanied him since the end of 2022. They consist of Kusumawidhiana (drums), Adrian Mahendra (bass), Madukina (vocals), Ivan Janitra (guitar), and Chika Olivia (keyboards, vocals).

Meanwhile, the repertoire that will be performed is taken from two albums that have been released, namely Dancing With Shadow (2019) and How Life Will End (2023).

The selected songs are those who can speak universally. So, the focus is not on the lyrics, but on the format and composition of the song," said the Indies.

For information, each Indies Live in Japan performance will also be enlivened by several Japanese musicians as supporting artists.
