God Bless Ready To Work On New Album, 50 Years Anniversary Anthology

JAKARTA - The legendary rock band God Bless does not want his journey to stop at 50 years. After a series of events in commemoration of the five-decade celebration, Achmad Albar cs turned out to be preparing a new album.

At the official opening of the 50-year God Bless Retrospective Exhibition, Achmad Albar revealed in front of the media crew that he and other personnel had planned the release of a new album.

"We have prepared a new album. The material is not complete, but Ian (Antono) has prepared it," said Achmad Albar at the National Gallery of Indonesia, Central Jakarta, Friday, February 16.

Different from Anthology 50 Year Anniversary album released in June 2023, the new album is planned to be filled with really new song material.

"Hopefully we can release a complete album with new songs and new arrangements," said the vocalist.

"Anthology is all old songs, we are trying on all new songs," he added. The man who is familiarly called Iyek said, God Bless will continue to be active in music as long as his personnel are still able to live it.

"What can we do, we continue to do, such as work and music," concluded Achmad Albar.
