Robert Trujillo At The 2024 Grammy Awards: Let's Keep The Young Generation Music

JAKARTA - Metallica with her song, 72 Seasons won the Best Metal Performance award at the 2024 Grammy Awards which took place at Crypto.com Arena, Los Angeles, United States on Sunday, February 4 local time.

Robert Trujillo (bass) was present to receive the award. While James Hetfield (vocals, guitars), Kirk Hammett (guitar), and Lars Ulrich (drums) were not present.

I want to say that Lars, James, and Kirk can't be here because they are with their family. And family is everything for all of us," said Robert Trujillo starting his winning speech.

"I live in Southern California, so it's a little easier," he continued jokingly.

Then, Trujillo thanked their music producer, Greg Fidelman. Through this victory, he voiced that young musicians should continue to make music with instruments in their hands.

"We want to thank Greg Fidelman, our amazing producer, and our recording team. This is amazing, it's like family," Trujillo said.

When you make an album like this, you guys jam, you collaborate. The soul of these 72 Seasons is when the younger generation together make music. Keep the instrument in your hands, let's keep the younger generation musical, and keep the dream alive."

Meanwhile, the band, which was formed in Los Angeles in 1981, defeated four other nominations, namely Disturbed, Ghost, Slipknot, and Spiritbox.

Metallica was also nominated in two other categories, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Performance, but unfortunately the two categories fell into Paramore and boygenius hands.

With this victory, Metalica has won 10 Grammys, of which 7 are in the Best Metal Performance category.
