Whoops! Spotify Fails To Block The Lyrics Of Olivia Rodrigo, Dua Lipa, And Kanye West Songs

JAKARTA - Spotify reportedly failed to block explicit lyrics in Olivia Rodrigo's hit songs, Dua Lipa, Kanye West and many more.

According to a new report from the BBC, although users have blocked the explicit content, the explicit lyrics of the song are still shown to users.

Streaming services can display the original lyrics of a song on the screen even when the clean version of the radio lecture' is played, according to BBC findings.

"Currently more than a third of the songs on Spotify's top 50 chart in the UK contain explicit lyrics," the report said.

"Of these, half display explicit lyrics on the screen when the clean edit is played."

The BBC claims the company is aware of the matter and is working to fix it.
