New Orianthi Single Will Show Joe Bonamassa

JAKARTA - Australian-born rock guitarist Orianthi will release a new single, "First Time Blues", on February 23rd.

The song featuring Joe Bonamassa was recorded at the Love Street Sound studio owned by guitarist The Doors, Robby Krieger in Los Angeles.

"First Time Blues" is the first single of Orianthi's upcoming studio album, which is expected to be released later this year.

In a recent interview with Larry Mac from radio station 96.1 KLPX, Orianthi stated about the musical direction of her new material.

"In my opinion, this is not a thorough change of direction. It's more than that in the Americana blues-rock feel, it's less pop than the songs I put out before," said the formeropsi Sambora lover.

"I like all kinds of musical genres, but in my opinion the most connected to me are blues, a kind of blues, a kind of American rock vibration and a little bit of country nuances there too, and that kind of thing resonates more in me than anything else," he explained.

"So I went back there. 'Heaven In This Hell', the album I made with Dave Stewart [in 2013], had a lot of things there. Even my first album, 'Believe', had quite a lot of blues nuances in it too. So with this new album and the singles being released, people will hear more, a little more interesting, and more music that I will play for the rest of my life. "

Speaking specifically about "First Time Blues", Orianthi said that the song had been played live and made it connect with fans.
