Iwa K's Response To His Children's Music Begins

JAKARTA - Iwa Kusuma's talent alias Iwa K in music has decreased to Mikala Saka Pandhiya Hamada Kusuma, her son from marriage to Selfi Nafilah.

Mikala, who is currently 15 years old, is known to be starting to be interested in music, especially being a rapper. He has also appeared in several events.

Seeing Mikala's interest in music, Iwa said she always supports her son's choice. However, he did not ask Mikala specifically to like rap.

"The name is parents, you don't have to interfere, just support it," said Iwa K to the media crew in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Monday, January 29.

"Yes (it is told music), all kinds of things, not just rap. Indeed, the children's curriculum must like music, but they don't have to be rap. Children must like appreciation, I just let it go," he continued.

Iwa K also doesn't want to burden Mikala with her big name in the Indonesian music world. He was afraid that his son would be depressed when faced with high expectations.

"I'm afraid that the child won't feel at home, I'm afraid to require something to put pressure on the child. I'm just always saying, what I do must have a responsibility," he said.

Given the importance of associations in building a music career, Iwa also doesn't want her child to be too afraid to get along, but she emphasizes the reality of the consequences of each action.

"If he is careful, he is afraid, the most important thing is to plant him knowing the consequences and responsibilities," concluded Iwa K.
