JAKARTA - The Alice In Chains grunge unit re-released the album 'Jar Of Flies' in a disk format. Uniquely, this time they put the original dead fly on the disk.
To celebrate her third studio album, Alice In Chains teamed up with Romanus Records to make a limited edition clear disk with a large number of dead flies inserted into her disk.
This exclusive black plate is only available 150 units and is sold for 100 dollars. Unfortunately, the rare print has now been sold out.
This isn't the first time a disc company has done something strange with its prints. They also recently made a loggery-filled disk for Pat & The Pissers.
Through social media, Chris Banta of Romanus revealed that it's really quite difficult to get a genuine dead fly. Chris added: Band, album, and many more really iconic. Videos and more content behind the scenes to come!
Not only that, Alice In Chains also released a box set for the 30th anniversary of the limited edition for Jar Of Flies. This set is equipped with a jarle bearing a logo with a red LED light that is activated with touch and fake flies, 3D lenticular cover art, Jar Of Flies color three disk, 60-page hardcover book, two-sided poster with a 24-page poster of 24-handle x 24 arms and packed in a 4.5&D shadow box printed with a screen and UV-covered.
They also released a 30-year anniversary 'Jar Of Flies' merchandise including skateboard decks and specialASH sets.
