JAKARTA - Reza Artamevia is back with his latest album titled Movement of Soul. This is the first full album of the diva after 21 years. Last time, he released Belief in 2002.

GMI Records' Movement of Soul album consists of eleven songs, some of which are new works, previous works that were reworked, and songs of other musicians that Reza Artamevia tried to perform again.

The selection of songs in the Movement of Soul album describes what Reza Artamevia has wanted for the past 21 years, including singing songs from Indonesian music legends, Meaning of Life written by Oddie Agam and Good Night written by Evie Tamala.

"On this album I have a cover of two legends. The first is the song the late Oddie Agam, Meaning of Life. In this song I have a duet with the wife of the deceased who is also my best friend, Almafilia," said Reza Artamevia during a press conference in Kemang, South Jakarta on Wednesday, January 24.

"Furthermore, I cover the song Evie Tamala, Good Night. I have also permission from him and he is very happy. I really like this song, and I have wanted to bring his song for a long time," he continued.

In his new album, Reza also included two songs whose titles were taken from the names of his two children, Zahwa and Aaliyah.

"As I said, when I wanted to make this album I wanted to describe what I really wanted in music for 21 years," he said.

Meanwhile, Reza also reworked on works from the previous album, which until now have often been performed by other musicians, hoping to not separate.

I also thank Denny Chasmala for writing the song Berharap Tak Tahan. In this song I am a duet with Aaliyah, and Al Ghazali remixes his song," said Reza Artamevia.

Meanwhile, the Movement of Soul, which was released in collaboration with KFC, comes exclusively in CDigital form. Different from before, this physical album does not include a compact disc (CD).

"We didn't get rid of physical at all on this CDigital. So there are collectable cards that can be used to later listen to this album. The song on CDigital is also exclusive, it can't be found on any digital platform," concluded Dandi of GMI Records.
