JAKARTA - Vixen bassist Julia Lage released the official music video for his newest solo single, "The Ride".

The song, written and produced by Lage himself, features Doug "Dug" Pinnick on guest vocals with Julia's husband, Richie Kotzen, on the main guitar, and Michael Odabashian on the drums.

"I've been writing this song for a long time, and when I worked on the finish, I always heard Doug Pinnick's voice in my head. One time I finally asked him if he would be kind enough to add a hat and he said yes, I felt like the happiest girl ever," Lage was quoted as saying by Blabbermouth.

"Saya penggemar berat dia dan sangat menghormati karyanya. Richie Kotzen juga musisi hebat. Saya butuh gitar yang terdengar dengan cara tertentu dan untuk isian solonya saya tahu dia adalah musisi yang sempurna untuk melakukannya," lanjut Lage.

"Richie is very talented," he continued. "I remember him sitting in the studio and recording his solos in the two takings because the first was studying the song. He finished the second taking. And that's really cool!

"I feel blessed to be able to share this song with them and I really hope people always remember that if they feel stagnant or unmotivated, they can go ahead and change their reality. Your journey may be very wild or lonely, but it belongs to you.

"I hope you enjoy 'The Ride'!"
