Madonna Sued By Two Spectators Due To Late Concerts

JAKARTA - Madonna was sued by two people who watched her concert in New York, United States last December. The lawsuit is based on a late concert schedule of up to two hours.

Meanwhile, a lawsuit was filed by Michael Fellows and Jonathan Hadden at Brooklyn Federal Court on Thursday, January 17.

The concert, which was held for three nights, was supposed to start at 20.30 local time, but in reality the concert only started at 22.30. The postponement made the concert only finish at 1.00 in the morning.

Both spectators are known to attend the concert on the first day, December 13. However, their lawsuit documents noted that the other nights, on December 14 and 16, it was also reported that they had started more than two hours late.

Many ticket holders attending concerts on the night of work have to get up early to leave for work and/or take care of family responsibilities the next day,' fill in the lawsuit documents, the BBC reported on Saturday, January 20.

Fellows and Hadden sued the promoters of Live Nation and placed the Barclays Center on what it called false advertising, negligent erroneous presentations, and unfair and deceptive trade practices.

The defendant failed to give a notification to ticket holders that the concert would start later than the time on the ticket and as advertised, resulting in ticket holders waiting for hours, contents of the lawsuit documents of Fellows and Hadden.

In this case, the plaintiff demanded compensation that was not determined in detail.

For information, the delay in Madonna's concert this time is not the first time. In 2019, a fan sued for the postponement of Madonna's show in the United States, but she voluntarily turned down the case a month later, according to ABC News.

That same year, Madonna shared her live posts on stage, where she told fans, "There's something you all need to understand, that a queen is never too late."
