JAKARTA - The name Manthous is still foreign to today's country music lovers. When it comes to campursari, people know Didi Kempot better, even though Manthous is the pioneer for the music genre.

Together with the campursari group he leads, Manthous is known as a musician who performs many songs from other genres, including keroncong, dangdut, pop, to foreign songs.

The recording of Manthous performing the song I Don't Wanna Talk About It from Rod Stewart has gone viral on social media and has become the talk of netizens.

Manthous died du at the age of 61 on March 9, 2012.
