Bimbim Reveals Differences In The Musical Side Of His 2 Children, Mezzaluna And Lula

JAKARTA - The traces of Bimbim Slank in the music world were continued by his two daughters, Mezzaluna and Lula. Both have entered the world of music as singers and songwriters.

The emergence of Mezzaluna and Lula in the music world is not surprising, because they grew up in the music environment. However, Bimbim assessed that his two children had different styles.

Mezzaluna debuted through the song In Situ which was released in June 2021. Bimbim said that her first daughter's desire to enter the music world was quite surprising.

"In fact, Mezzaluna suddenly came and said that she had made a song," said Bimbim when met in Duren Tiga, South Jakarta last week.

Different from Mezzaluna, Lula, who is Bimbim's second daughter, is said to have tried to compose songs from a young age. In fact, Lula is called the most common child when Slank is at a concert.

"Even if Lula is the one who often participates in Slank concerts. Since childhood, he has seen me writing songs too," said Bimbim.

The style of writing the songs Mezzaluna and Lula is also different. If Mezzaluna prefers to work on her own songs, Lula will continue to discuss with her father during the songwriting process.

The choice of the two young singers is also different. Mezzaluna chose to join as one of the artists for Sony Music Entertainment Indonesia. Meanwhile, Lua became a singer under the sub label Slank Records, Biru Musik Island.

Luka, whose full name is Tallulah Gifty Natura, is the first artist for Biru Musik Island. Recently, he released his debut album titled Curhat Lula which contains eight songs he wrote himself.
