JAKARTA - Metallica guitarist Kirk Hammett revealed that the heavy metal giant from the United States slipped the Batman theme song into the riff of one of their songs.
The song Shadow Follows, which appeared on Metallica's 11th album, 72 Seasons, features a riff that lasts about four minutes 20 seconds, which refers to the 1960s theme of the Batman TV show.
The riff was nicknamed "The Batman Riff" during the production of the song.
In an interview with Total Guitar, where Hammett was asked about a superhero reference, this was the guitarist's answer.
"It's really funny, because we call the riff The Batman Riff, and I know exactly what you're talking about," Hammet said.
