Invited To Talk About The Manpower And Transmigration Sub-Department, VOB: Should It Be A New Song?

JAKARTA - Three Voice of Baceprot (VOB) personnel, Marsya (vocals, guitars), Widi (bass) and Sitti (drums) were invited to talk about workers by the West Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Agency (Sudinakertransgi).

Through his official Instagram account, VOB uploaded several moments during a visit to the West Jakarta Mayor's Office and chatted with employees of the Sub-Department of Transmigration.

"Last week, there was an opportunity that did not suddenly take us to consult with several related people at the West Jakarta Manpower Office," VOB wrote in a statement on Monday, December 11.

"Then talk to us then about the rights that the workers must get along with efforts to fight for," he continued.

VoB personnel themselves claim to be children who grow up and are raised by families who mostly work as workers. They feel they understand the problems faced by workers.

"We feel like we understand how tired we are of hoping for a jump in the right to be fulfilled amidst the rolling burden of obligation, between the outdated understanding that workers should be completely extorted," wrote VoB.

"However, this little understanding is in fact still difficult to use as a reference to just imagine the fate of fellow workers if they do not strengthen their confidence in fighting for their rights which are increasingly disguised by the whole system, by the increasingly manipulative rules," he added.

At the end of the upload's statement, VoB said the way to fight for the welfare of workers was still far away.

"After chatting, we are increasingly aware, it turns out that our welfare path (labor) is still very steep, winding, steep and of course long," he said.

"Can you be a new song?" he said.
