Max Richter Presents Nada And Nuance Complicated His Personal Instruments In Digital Format

JAKARTA - Musician and composer Max Richter announced the arrival of a new audio workshop, SRM Sounds, which was created in collaboration with his multimedia production studio, Studio Richter Mahr.

SRM Sounds offers musicians the opportunity to take advantage of Richter's personal instrument collection sound and sonic exploration at the Richter Mahr Studio located in rural England and compose their own songs with SRM Sounds.

In collaboration with former Spitfire Audio CEO Will Evans and his new venture Song Athletics to bring instruments in his studio to digital life the first product released is SRM Sounds #001 which is Steinway's grand piano.

With the characteristics of Richter music carefully captured and transformed into digital format, creators will be able to immerse themselves in the complicated tones and nuances of the defected instrument.

Basically, after SRM Sounds #001 is purchased and downloaded, any composer around the world can use that voice, and 'play' as if Richter himself was there.

"For composers, sound is very personal and emotional. For many of us, the experience of falling in love with physical aspects and the touch of sound is something that makes us like music, so working with the wrong sound is very disturbing," said Richter in a press release.

"Therefore, we decided to create our own collection of virtual instruments, using extraordinary acoustic and technical resources from Studio Richter Mahr. These instruments have colors that I like to use to tell the story I want to tell," he continued.

Meanwhile, speaking of collaboration with Song Athletics, Evans said Richter has a unique and sound- respected relationship.

"Collaborating with him and Studio Richter Mahr is an honor, and I am excited to help share these inspirational instruments with the world."
