Olivia Rodrigo Feels A Lot Of Pressure To Fun Everyone With Guts

JAKARTA - Olivia Rodrigo talks about pressure to please everyone'' with her album, Guts.

Olivia recently appeared at the Variety's Hitmakers, where she was awarded the Storyteller of the Year Award.

In his acceptance speech, Rodrigo talked about writing his new song Can't Catch Me Now, which he wrote for the new Hunger Games soundtrack: A The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes.

"Storying through songwriting has been my favorite thing as far as I remember," he started.

"I'm writing to find out how I feel, to overcome my emotions, and to commemorate and respect the seasons of my life," Olivia continued.

I also had the opportunity to write songs for the new Hanger Games' recently and it taught me how much I also like to write songs from someone else's point of view and how fun and collaborative it is.

He then said, writing the song 'it's not always easy in terms of anything', explaining that this is 'especially' what happened to the creation of Guts, his second studio album.

"I have so many voices in my head and I feel so much pressure to please everyone with the music I make," he continued.

He then joked that this doubt was a fear, like a horror film.

"I found that it just appears to create something every day, even though I don't feel too excited, is something that catches me out of that fear and makes me feel very excited about the music I make," he said.

Rodrigo also made his live debut Can't Catch Me Now at Jingle Bell Ball at this event.
