JAKARTA - Sheryl Crow revealed some of the life advice she shared with young musician Olivia Rodrigo.

Crow and Rodrigo performed together last weekend (November 3) for the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame 2023 ceremony where Crow was sworn in.

Speaking to ET Online after the show and ceremony, Crow revealed about working with Rodrigo and the two advice he shared with the 20-year-old musician.

"I mean, you know, I had to take it up a little bit, because he has a new album... I know how difficult it is for a second album, a second year. You are competing with the success of your first album, and he is successful," Crow said.

One of the advice Crow gave Rodrigo was to enjoy and enjoy the glory of his second album while he was able to.

"I said, 'If you can, just write one sentence every day, about what happened that day, because one day you will look back on this, and try to remember everything.'"

"Another thing that [I told him] was to keep working and avoid chat," Crow added. That's a big thing.

For his Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame induction performance, Crow teamed up with Olivia Rodrigo to bring in a 1996 hit, If It Makes You Happy, the main single of Crow's second album.

The American songwriters were sworn in this year with Kate Bush, mengan Elliott, Rage Against the Machine, Willie Nelson, George Michael and The Spinners.
