JAKARTA - In a new interview with Jorge Botas from Metal Global Portugal, Halestorm bassist Josh Smith revealed the process of working on a new album.

It is known, Halestorm is working on a new studio album with famous Grammy-winning producer Dave Total, who previously collaborated with Sammy total, Slash, Greta Van Fleet, and Rival Son.

'We went to the place [Dave] and all lived together for three weeks, that is - we lived together on tours all the time, yes, but were in the creative space, it was amazing,' Josh said.

"And the music that comes out is undeniable is Halestorm. There will be a lot of fan favorites."

Explaining Halestorm's recording process with her mind, Josh said: "What we do and how he wants to work, how he catches us is what we do on stage."

"For example, we didn't use the click track; there wasn't any proper time. We were the ones who did it, so there were a lot of moves in his music... It was very humane," he continued.

"I think naturally when you're talking, from building tensions to releasing it and how it happens, and sometimes from a verse maybe it's being built and the tempo feels like it's being built, and then the refractive part at least on stage - of course it's possible to raise some BPM [dept per minute] or slow down, depending. And even our transition or filling [Hale drummer, Halestorm] Arejay will drive or be attractive. It's very human."

However, Josh said there was no schedule for when Halestorm's new music would come.

"But we're just working on it, like I don't know how many songs we've made, 10 or 12," he said.

"And we'll probably do it again when we get a chance next year, and see where we are. But it's really interesting. It's always fun to create new things and then show them to people and be judged."

They won nine Grammy wins, including four for "Best Maicana Album" and three for "Best Country Album". He was also named "Producer Of The Year" by Country Music Awards, Americana Music Association (twice) and Music Row Awards, and was nominated for Grammys in the category.
