JAKARTA - The Ministry of Youth and Sports collaborates with the creative team Pestopora to curate and at the same time facilitate 14 bands and street artists of local talent to participate in the Partypora art and culture festival which will be held on September 22-24, 2023.

The local talents who will appear in the annual event come from various regions, namely Papua, Ternate, Ambon, Padang, Denpasar, Manado, Balikpapan, and Makassar.

"Imagine, there are local heroes bands that we bring to Jakarta to play in big festivals. There will definitely be a boom. This kind of thing is one that we want to fight for, which is to provide opportunities for all young people in the regions to show their achievements and work," said Menpora Dito Ariotedjo while attending a media conference session at the Partypora event in the South Jakarta area, Wednesday, quoting Antara.

He admitted that he was very happy to be able to do his first collaboration with Partypora. According to Minister Dito, the annual music festival is a very important event with young people.

Menpora Dito also said that so far the Indonesian Ministry of Youth and Sports has routinely held a flagship program called the Achievement Festival which aims to raise the potential of young people in various fields. The program involves communities and local decrees that collaborate to work and score achievements.

"Our collaboration with Pestopora is a form of repackaging from our Achievement Festival program. There used to be a band festival competition that gave birth to bands such as Stinky and D'masiv. Currently, we are rebranding names to become Achievement parties that not only feature bands, but also dance arts, pantomime, and stand up comedy," he explained.

Furthermore, Menpora Dito hopes that collaboration with Partypora can run for a long time so that in line with the mission of becoming a forum for giving birth and lifting more potential for young people from all over Indonesia.

"Hopefully the Party can also be hooked up with the regions. In essence, the Ministry of Youth and Sports is focused and ready to be home to young talents, creators and collaborators to score achievements. So don't hesitate anymore, everyone can hang out at the Ministry of Youth and Sports," he added.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Partypora Festival, Kiki Aulia Ucup, said that the event was held at Gambir Expo Kemayoran, Central Jakarta, this year, which was bigger than last year's event in terms of venues and the number of performers.

"The experience situation offered will be different. This time we carry the theme of fruits, so that they are fresher and different from other festivals. In addition, this year we present 206 performers from the previous 176. The area is also expanded again than last year," said Ucup.

The expansion of the area, said Ucup, includes an additional two major stages, namely Standup Indo and Gegap Gempita Stage. As for the number of spectators present, he predicts that around 30 thousand people will crowd Gambir Expo Kemayoran every day of the upcoming Party.
