JAKARTA - The collaboration produced by AI (artificial intelligence) featuring vocals imitating Drake and The Weeknd is proposed for consideration at the Grammy Awards.

The song Heart On My Sleeve, written and produced by anonymous producer Ghostwriter, exploded in a matter of hours and reached 13 million views on TikTok only when it first appeared earlier this year.

On popular DSP (digital streaming platforms) such as Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal, the song also has hundreds of thousands of streams with more than 100,000 views on YouTube before Universal Music Group banned the song.

Now, representatives from Ghostwriters have confirmed to The New York Times that the song has been submitted for consideration of Grammy Awards in two categories: Best Rap Song and Best Song of the Year Both were given to songwriters, not the cast.

According to the chief executive of Recording Academy, Harvey Mason Jr., the song is eligible for creative reasons and is the original composition written and recorded by humans. Because of that, Mason added: "This really qualifies because it is written by humans."

However, one of the requirements to send it is that the song must be nationally available through physical stores, third-party online retailers, and/or streaming services.

However, due to the ban earlier this year, this could make the song unqualified for delivery to the Grammys.
