Charlie Benante Ngebet Wants To Play Ride The Lightning With Metallica

Charlie Benante said he wanted to play Ride The Lightning with Metallica.

Drummer Anthrax, 60, who shares the stage with Metallica at stadiums in North America as part of the new version of Pantera, posted a photo of himself sitting behind drum set Lars Ulrich, drummer Metallica, via his social media on August 18.

In the accompanying message, Benante expressed a wish.

"I love the final result on the kit @larsulrich, @officialtamadrums killed him! I want to play #ridethelightning with them, love that song!!" he wrote.

Referring to the fact that he wrote his message just hours before appearing at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where Pantera was formed more than 40 years ago by the late guitarist "Dimebag" Abbott and drummerok Paul Abbott, Benante added:

"Tonight we played in the @dallastowboys area. Like it or not, I feel the @dimebagdarell and @vinniepaulabbott vibrations, this will be an emotional battle. @peteraofficial @metallica #cowboysfromhell #cfh".

Meanwhile, in March, Benante praised Ulrich's musical ability, saying that he "he" thinks the Metallica drummer in a song.

Benante made his comments as part of a Revolver magazine feature about his five favorite drummers.
