Dwayne Johnson Encourages Moana 2 Spectators To Sing Together In Cinemas

JAKARTA - Dwayne Johnson recommends viewers who will watch the film Moana 2 to sing. The role of Maui is back in the sequel which will be released soon.

When asked his opinion, Johnson was very open to the idea of the audience wanting to sing in theaters because the film Moana 2 has some musical scenes.

"Especially if you like music, that's the most fun part," Dwayne Johnson quoted The Independent as saying.

"Sing! You work hard to get money for tickets and you like musicals so please (sing in theaters)," he said.

The issue of singing in theaters became a conversation after Jon M Chu's latest film, Wicked, was shown in theaters. A number of cinema networks have warned viewers not to sing as long as the film is shown in theaters.

AMC cinema network went viral by showing a warning video before Wicked. The video reads, "Silence is gold. Not talking, not sending messages, not singing, not screaming. Enjoy the miracle of the film."

Cinemas in the Philippines are also a topic of conversation after putting up a sign, "It's forbidden to sing while watching Wicked."

The film Moana 2 tells the story of a teenager named Moana who meets Again with Maui and travels at sea after receiving a call from her ancestors.

This film is a sequel to the original film that aired in 2016 and was successful in theaters.
