JAKARTA - Javier Parisi, a singer with face and look like the late John Lennon from Argentina, recycled an old song titled LOVE belonging to the legendary Indonesian band The Mercy's.
The remake of Rinto Harahap's song was introduced in an online event entitled "Lennon Fantasy" organized by Grammy Music.tv with WiseArt and Royal Prima Musikindo (RPM) not early last week.
Interestingly, this song is also produced and featured with Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal, the former guitarist of Guns N 'Roses.
According to Javier Parisi, in the process of recording the song he studied the meaning of the lyrics of the song LOVE so that he could soul it when singing in John Lennon's version. "This song has very good lyrics, I am very happy and it is an honor for me to be able to perform songs from the legendary band The Mercy's," he said.
In the online event, senior musician Erwin Harahap, who was one of The Mercy's personnel, gave his response. He expressed his appreciation for the presence of the song LOVE, which was brought back by Javier Parisi. "I have heard the recording and it is very good," said Erwin Harahap. Erwin, who is also the brother of the songwriter of LOVE, is sure that the late Rinto will be proud of the release of this song.
