Banned For 8 Months Due To Anti-Semitic Posts, Kanye West's Twitter Account Is Active Again

JAKARTA - Elon Musk reactivated Kanye West's Twitter account after a eight-month ban.

This happened after West was previously banned from the platform three times, the last on December 2 last year after the rapper tweeted a self-isolation illustration inside the Star of Daud.

The inciting post was one of West's many tweets at the time, culminating in Musk who confirmed that West's account would be suspended for violating platform policies against incitement to violence.

The rapper previously faced significant reactions after making a series of antisemitic statements, wearing the "White Lives Matter" shirt, and revealing false claims about George Floyd's death.

Even though he returned to Twitter, West now has no right to monetize his account and advertising will not appear next to his post, reports the Wall Street Journal.

His account was restored after receiving confirmation that he would not use the platform to share antisemitic or malicious language. He hasn't posted a new tweet yet.

Meanwhile, Ice Cube recently said West had "learned a lot" from the controversial year that led it to reveal a lot of antisemitic views.

During a recent performance at Piers Morgan Uncensored, Ice Cube was asked about his "wobble relationship" with West before he confirmed he had met the rapper "a few weeks ago".

When asked about how West is currently dealing with what is happening, this is Ice Cube.

"I'm sure he's fine. He's still dealing with some people trying to keep his money. But mostly, I'm sure he's in a good place," he said.

"I think he has learned a lot from last year, and hopefully he will perform better on the other side."
